Are you a Dutch SME that has the ambition to expand their international horizon to the United States? Do you have a solution/service in Sustainable Building and Energy Systems?
Then we would like to invite you to join us on this mission and explore the Boston and New York markets!
The greater Boston area and New York City are increasingly held up as models of urban climate resilience in the United States, as they are working towards carbon neutrality by 2050. Buildings are the source of 70% of greenhouse gas in Boston and 42% in New York City. As a part of meeting the ambition, at least 80% of those buildings shall be retrofitted with sustainable solutions over the next 30 years.
In 2019 the major of Boston signed a new executive order for all new buildings to be zero net carbon buildings. This means that all new municipal buildings, city-funded affordable housing and large new construction projects require zero fossil fuels and are highly energy efficient. In 2019, New York City adopted a new law called "The Climate Mobilization Act law" which consists of a slate of climate laws designed to dramatically cut carbon in New York City.
Previous missions in 2019 & 2021, 3 stakeholder sessions and a recent market report show that there is a significant interest in Dutch innovators. In the last few years over 40+ participants explored their product-market fit and established a network in the US. During this mission, Dutch companies will have the opportunity to meet new companies, expand their network and make progress on setting foot on the US market.
Why should I participate...
- You are Dutch a scale-up or SME with a product/service for sustainable building and/or energy systems (both new construction and retrofits)
- Get in touch with new potential partners and customers, and/or meet your previously established contacts on the spot
- Gain insight into concrete projects on the US market and how your company can take advantage of opportunities on these projects
