A focused market visit to Sweden’s cybersecurity ecosystem
Sweden is investing heavily in cybersecurity as digital systems become more critical to public services, national infrastructure, and industry. The country combines a strong innovation culture with growing awareness of vulnerabilities, creating momentum for new solutions, trusted partnerships, and international collaboration.
This mission offers a clear and content-driven introduction to Sweden’s cybersecurity landscape, designed for Dutch companies looking to build relevant connections, understand the local context, and explore collaboration with key actors.

MSB Cybersecurity Conference | We’ve been invited to attend the second day of the Cybersäkerhetskonferensen, a government-organized event that can be seen as Sweden’s modest counterpart to the ONE Conference in the Netherlands. It’s a two-day national conference on cybersecurity, organized by Swedish public authorities (such as the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and the Swedish Military Signals Intelligence Agency). It brings together national public and private sector leaders. Program themes:

Dutch–Swedish Seminar: Securing the Future of Health Data | The final day of the program centers around a bilateral seminar hosted by the Netherlands Embassy in Stockholm, focusing on cybersecurity in healthcare and the development of secure health data infrastructures, particularly in the context of the upcoming European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation. The seminar brings together key stakeholders from both countries for a content-driven exchange on digital trust, cross-border data sharing, and public-private collaboration in securing sensitive health data. Confirmed contributors include:
The session is designed to encourage both knowledge sharing and bilateral networking in the intersection of cybersecurity, healthtech, and digital policy. In addition to presentations and panel discussions, the seminar is structured to allow ample time for informal networking and bilateral conversations, both during breaks and in the margins of the program. The day concludes with a networking reception at the Dutch Ambassador’s residence, attended by a broader group from Sweden’s cybersecurity and innovation ecosystem, a trusted network the Embassy has built up over many years. |
Optional: Next IT Security – 23 October
On October 23, the Next IT Security – C-Suites Edition takes place in Stockholm. This is one of Sweden’s few small-scale commercial cybersecurity events, bringing together C-level professionals from the Nordics for a day of expert sessions, panels, and networking.
Topics include leadership and trust in cybersecurity, AI-related risks, cloud security, and national resilience. Speakers include CISOs from organizations such as WHO, Arla Foods, Volvo, Ericsson, and others.
Please note: This event is not part of the mission program. Participation is optional and at your own initiative. There is no joint registration or Dutch delegation.
