RSA Conference week in San Francisco is intense. First Byte NL offers something deliberately different: an informal networking breakfast with good coffee and easy conversation, the way we like to start the day in the Netherlands. Hosted at the Consulate General of the Netherlands, this morning meetup is simply a chance to step away from the busy conference schedule, meet fellow cybersecurity professionals, and start the day in a relaxed setting.
Attendance is limited and by invitation only. If this sounds like a good way to pause midweek during RSA Conference, you can request an invite.
Presentations
The morning is centered around informal networking and conversation, with two short presentations woven into the program. Guests will see a live demo of HackShield and hear a brief perspective from the Netherlands Police’s Investigations and Special Operations Unit, together offering an accessible look at how cybersecurity in the Netherlands is treated as a shared responsibility, with public and private partners working together across borders and generations, all within a relaxed breakfast setting.

Netherlands Police | Investigations and Special Operations
The Dutch National Police has been a consistent and active partner in international cybercrime operations.
Together with its international partners, both public and private, the National High Tech Crime Unit strives to maximize impact through data-driven targeting and a broad engagement strategy: through arrests and sanctions, by disrupting criminal infrastructure and their business models and by preventing and assisting victims.
Operation Endgame brings all of these efforts together.

HackShield | Empowering the next generation online
HackShield is an international program that helps children become safer online and more confident through game-based learning. Active in 8 countries and reaching over 680,000 children, HackShield works with governments, schools and partners to turn real online risks into practical prevention programmes.
The initiative follows three clear principles: no commercial activities toward children or schools, no advertising to children, and no selling of children’s data. With the ambition to reach 10 million and 1 children by 2030, HackShield is working towards a safer digital future worldwide.
